Why to train a companion dog?

Punishment may be defined, in short, as a negative stimuli, aplyed in the present moment, because an error commited in the past (that maybe a second or ten years) not to be repeated in the future.
Punish an animal is to belive that he is able to understand the time dimension: past, present and future. It is the samething as to explain to a two years old child what does five minutes, tomorrow, yesterday or next week means. If it is very difficult for a child, for dogs it is impossible. A dog will never assotiate any kind of aggression of yours to something happend in the past.
Our method is based in conditioning the dog to dislike to do what you consider wrong and be eager to do what we wish them to do. It is already being adopted in Europe and USA. The command words has transformed into keywords, to which the dog will be conditioned and with which you could dialogue with your companion, rendering the relationship much more pleasant.

                Agressiveness

Here we also are in a philosophical position diametrically opposite of the traditional methods. To teach a dog to bite it is almost the same thing as to intend to teach a bird to fly.

We are absolutely contrary on the idea to arouse an animal to make him become angry to achieve that he throw himself to attack. We consider defense training a sport.

When you take your children to learn about judo or karate, you do not intend that they hash the instructor. Less acceptable is that they hurt any of their colleague. A good fighter doesn’t fight for nothing, because he is self-confident.

Our attack & defense sections (canine martial arts) are treated as a sport of personal defense. At the end of each fight, the adversaries must greet each other. On the contrary of provoking hate, we want that, if eventually it will have an interference, your dog can conserve all its emotional control to use what it learned. Makes a dog attack for hate to strangers, will certainly result in an accident.

Duration time and the correct age to start it.

Two months. A short time if relatively compared to the traditional methods which delays from three to four months. The apprenticeship takes a week and the leadership acceptance is ready at the first month of training. The adjustment with the owner is the slower part, it takes about 30 days.

The correct age to start it, is when the dog will have weaned, but it is so risky and onerous. Before going to the school, the puppy have had completed the whole vaccination program recommended by your veterinary.

By reason of this high risk to the puppy health in early age, we just accept dogs with the vaccination program finished. From there on, any age is good.

The Lodging System

Following the same logic, to hire a trainer, a stranger to enter in your dog’s territory and give it orders, seems to be the most absurd incoherence. Besides, if you hire a professional to educate your dog, it is because you can’t, do you agree?

The classes, to acquire a new behavior, takes an hour. Sometimes, once or twice a week. Look what disproportion! 2 hours a week with the trainer to learn versus 166 hours with you to unlearn.

Ample Kennels, about 10.93 YD, comfortable and airy, meticulously planned and architecturally projected, have a good ventilation in the summer and, be warm in the winter, a solarium-balcony, jardiniere with flowers like geranium and "eleven o’clock", and on the wall it is covered of ivy, with modern technology in sophisticated details to modify the guest manners, giving them the sharp sensation of decision in this change.

In case your dog have to stay with another one, it will be always well accompanied: if it is male it will stay with a female and vice-versa. The selection criterion to choose the kennel companion it is by their size, age and temperament, never by breed. Dogs from different breed cohabit very well, otherwise, half-breeds wouldn’t exist. No one, except certain insects whose nuptial ritual includes the death, always the male, the only animal that fight between males and females is the human civilization.

Feeding

Several meats, cereals and legume. We offer ration only under special recommendation and it is excluded from the daily value. Any change of the ration, causes diarrhea, and each guest that arrive, is habituated to a different ration. In the last week we make a progressive readaptation to the ration that the owner brings.

Health

At the moment of inscription you must furnish the name, address and telephone of the veterinary whose attend your dog. In case of necessity, our Veterinary contacts him to follow his instructions. In case of an emergency, it will be immediately attended here, and then we contact the veterinary that attend your dog.

Forms of payment:

The budget includes the lodging, feeding, the bath and the training that, includes 5 obedience exercises:

1. heeling with about-turns;
2. sitting, without command every time the owner stops;
3. down! lie under command;
4. stay at the same place till new command;
5. Attend to the call at the first command; (with leash or without leash)

And more: initiation to the specialization, without command, exercises in obstacles, socialization with other dogs, attack and defense and exercises in groups to orient to the parents.

Also included in the budget the training of rejection feeding furnished from strangers, but this is trained just under express recommendation from the owner, an initial veterinary consultation for health exam and a monthly consultation to accompaniment.

It includes the application of medication which be furnished by the owner.
