How to teach the dog not to pick up objects?

    It’s impossible to teach a dog NOT to do things.

    When a baby starts crawling, the discernment indicates that we have to remove dangerous "things" from the reach of children.

    With pups the same thing happens. When they’re puppies, they’re discovering the world and are very curious. The tendency is to catch the objects over the tables, chairs, on the floor etc.

    To avoid picking up these "things" we have to remove them from the reach of the dog until he grows up and becomes an obedient dog.

    Unhappily, for the dogs, many owners insist in obtaining obedience with military orders.

    Getting angry with a dog to obtain obedience results in an opposite effect. Puppies play of fighting, one getting angry with the other, so, if you get angry, he will understand it as an invitation for a game and will always repeat the reason of your anger.
