Being concerned with a more tranquillizing answer, we made a research about this matter, using ethology among wild animals to verify if the "problem" of COPROPHAGY is exclusively human. And it is!

Many wild animals, upon which we do not have any interference, practice the coprophagy, starting with their mothers, confirmed, of ALL OF THEM. All, primates, feline and canine mothers clean their puppies eating their excrements.

The big problem of man is this classificatory terminology: eating excrement is filthiness.

We know that all carnivores catch only herbivores to feed themselves and they eat the flesh only after eviscerating them and eating their bowels. This need to eat the prey’s intestines is due to the fact that the carnivore’s intestines are not prepared to digest vegetables, this is, they do not contain the necessary enzymes to digest the cellulose, and therefore, they need to eat the content of intestines that have these enzymes and, with the alimentary cake, it is already semi-digested.

Not having the alimentary cake of the intestines, they eat the feces themselves. It is a normal practice among the gorillas of the mountain, our ancestors.
It is possible that this atavistic attitude of your dog is related to the lack of the vegetable elements in his nutrition .

You could help us, in Our Forum, making an experience and reporting us the results, thus contributing to lighten thousand of "dogs owners" that suffer with this problem.

Make a stew, boiling vegetables, potatoes, leafs etc. and give him for thirty days. After this period, observe if he continues eating excrements and report us the results.

ATTENTION – It is absolutely necessary that you COOK the vegetables VERY WELL until it dissolves, to make it easy to the dog’s digestive system, as if he had taken it from the bowels of a slaughtered animal.
