Everybody gets terrified when I say that!

The best thing is never bathe him.

Let’s take a look at ethology ... who bathes the wolves in the forest?
We take a shower every day because we sweat and it smells badly. Dogs don’t sweat. They have atrophic sweat glands. On the other hand, the coat protection is done by the sebaceous glands.

When you bathe the dogs you remove this grease cape and the coat gets unprotected. The sebaceous glands have to produce the protector grease again. This production emanates that unpleasant smell that we call "offensive body odor".

When you brush your dog, besides massaging his hair and making them shine, you are removing the dead hair that also causes bad smell.

This way, my friends, dogs neatness is only different from ours. It is the daily, vigorous brushing. A dog brushed daily never stinks...

In the forest the wolves, when in change, scrub themselves in sticks, pointed stones to remove the dead hair and, after that, they shake themselves.

You can ask me: But don’t you bathe your dogs?

Of course I do! I said that the ideal thing to do is never bathe them, but it doesn’t mean that I do the ideal thing. When my dogs get in the mud or get dirty with feces, i bathe them, indeed.

My friends, wolves can always bathe themselves in a river or lake... they swim very well. Your dog can get into the swimming pool every day if you want to, and after that being rinsed with chlorineless water. What you cannot do is use soap and/or shampoo... any kind of detergent that removes the grease...

When you have to use shampoo, NEVER forget the conditioner, that neutralizes the detergent action.
